Leadership Focus

Policing: Executive Leadership

We have considerable experience in working with policing leaders at executive level and are frequently consulted in order to help them explore viable approaches to delivering a clear and concise vision for the future of the service. Establishing organisational values and developing a unified purpose and direction are also key success criterion.

Policing: Informal Leadership

Our belief is that many front line operatives are amongst some of the most creative and entrepreneurial leaders within policing. They have a complex understanding of their environment, have a healthy attitude to risk and possess an ability to make quick-time decisions. These are skills that need appropriately recognised, channelled and managed.

Policing: Middle Management

The often unsung heroes of the organisation, middle managers have the unenviable task of translating strategic directives into a language that is understood by front line operatives. In a highly competitive and numbers focused performance  regime, they hold the balance between transactional results, and transformational leadership.

Policing: Police Staff

Policing leadership has benefited for some considerable time from the direct entry of professional leaders at middle and senior managers. Highly qualified in their profession, the value they add to the policing discourse is too often overlooked and under-utilised. Police staff are now fully embedded into the organisational mindset and frequently add exceptional value to policing performance.
